    28th January

It's started already!! He's on News 24 this morning and early afternoon! I saw him at 11.55...just ....with seconds to spare! And for one horrible second I thought there was going to be no lighning flash half past forecast, but there he was. Nice bright yellow stripey tie to brighten up a very dull Monday!
Now for some years I've been wondering when someone is going to sort out being able to set your dvd at home, by phone, when you're out. I need this functionality....right now!! Even the TBT was well late being updated today.

    27th January

I have to say this morning was a struggle. Being awake at 6 yesterday morning and not going to sleep til midnight last night then awake at 6 this morning...that's just not what I do!! But with it being Matts last weekend in a while I felt I had to make the effort to see Breakfast 'live' this morning. I did only just see it though, I only saw the forecasts and slept in between! And I did well, I only missed the 8.15 one.
He was looking gorgeous again today, of course, in a black shirt for Breakfast and with grey tie added and suit jacket for the Andrew Marr show and News 24.
And so far the weather has also been gorgeous today, sunshine and a cloudless sky. Frost on the cars though earlier I noticed and maybe a spot of that tomorrow morning too. I don't know if I was half asleep or if my morning temperature for tomorrow had changed by the end of breakfast to a few degrees warmer, I could be wrong about that!
And Matt is now on BBCi UK and World weather.

    2008-01-27

I forgot to mention we had isobars too!!

OMG! I've just seen the 8.15 forecast that I missed and Matt had a picture of Southampton!! Yay! :) I thought that was the Civic Centre clock behind him before he said where it was.

    26th January

Wow, bright pink shirt to wake us up this morning! Very nice.

There's mention of the lottery triple rollover today, but apparently Charlie doesn't spend a lot of time thinking about what he would do with £18 million!! Why am I not surprised???!!!! But he did ask Matt what he'd do and Matt, very sensibly, said he'd go somewhere warm and dry. Me too.  I have booked a trip to Cyprus anyway, but June seems a long way off right now.
Where's Bill on the weekends these days?? Charlie...No! Sorry, not good!!

Glad I don't live up north! They're having a finger of rain!! Is that rain poking us? As opposed to us poking clouds??? Mr George??

I have to say Matt is particularly distracting this morning!!
I've watched that many forecasts and just managed to notice that hopefully the sun will be out later!! Probably when I'm in the cinema!!

It's all blue sky and sun now! Yay!!

Ooooo. Matt on Vernon Kaye saying he's not doing weekends for a while now!!   I think this is going to mean he's going to be trickier to keep up with!! Obviously means I have to give up work for full-time weatherman spotting!! Now I need that 18M lottery win tonight!

     2008-01-26

Matt was also on later in the day on BBCi UK and world weather, back in suit with nice tie to match the shirt, and he was also on News 24 but unfortunately I didn't see him on there.   Never mind, he'll be back tomorrow!

Oh yes!! The power of prayer! Or something like that! A very good looking weekend ahead and I don't just mean the weather!
I only saw one forecast before leaving for work this morning and it was delayed!!! Instead of going over to Matt in the BP garden we went to Declan in Switzeralnd ...talking to Prince Andrew!!!! Ummmm. .....NO! Don't they know that we have morning routines that we have to go through and by delaying the weather and making me wait it was all messed up!! How do I know what clothes to put on if I haven't heard the weather?!?!?!!? (Of course, not my primary reason for wanting to see the weather forecast!)

The birds certainly seem to love the Blue Peter garden, chirping away this morning even on the first forecast at 6.17.
6.45 forecast. Bill: 'And lets get the weather from a special Matt Taylor'.

At the start of the 8.15 forecast Susanna was doing some funny things with her hands and we saw Matt laughing then he was replaced by what was apparently a lego picture!   But  only momentarily, we got him back.

    22nd January

The TBT was actually correct and Matt was on last night on Janice Long's show on Radio 2 and on BBCi world weather. The red and white striped candy tie last night!
I'm pleased to say that Matt seemed to be able to squeeze a little bit of sunshine in his case to bring us back, it's been a pretty nice day today for a change!
He's off up to Newcastle today for his annual day of teaching at a school in Newcastle.
    Here's last nights JL:

    21st January

On Breakfast this morning they reckoned today is the most depressing day of the year, but looking at the TBT this morning it says Matt is on tonight! So not not a depressing day at all!! Yay!!

    20th January

A strange weekend this has been. It's January, its pretty dull but at least not raining, I'm skint and no Matt around   . Roll on summer and much more importantly...roll on pay day!!! And Matt's return of course!!
I noticed Dan has mentioned Southampton twice this weekend and I've not seen many forecasts!

    16th January

Ok, confused!! I know Matt is working tonight, but I looked at the world weather forecast and he's on there! But wearing a different tie (I'm pretty sure a different tie) to the one he was wearing when I saw the world weather this morning! And it's not time for the overnight shift yet!
The only conclusion that I can come to is that Matt is God! He's omnipresent!

Now first appearance on News24 and a different tie/shirt again!!

Matt promised us we wouldnt have to battle with the umbrella this morning, thankfully, although tomorrow morning, the battle may return! It was pretty chilly this morning though, which Matt did warn me about but I still wore my wet weather gear, which keeps out the wind and rain but isn't very warm. He was very perky on the local forecast this morning, I don't know how he does it, but it's always a good start to the day. :D

    15th January

Matt was on overnight shift last night, and chatting to Janice Long on Radio 2., about.....smurfs!!! Matt is, of course, weather smurf! And what a lot of weather he has brought us! Wet weather gear out again this morning!
He also did the world wetaher on BBCi last night I see, wearing that nice brightly coloured tie!

And good news, he said to Janice he's back tonight, Yay! But probably not on her show, so hopefully that means tv!

Matt was to be seen on the red button again today, but nowhere else that I know of. Not the best shift!!

    12th January

Matt is on the red button!! Todays was an unusual shift for Matt and I didn't see/hear him doing anything else. As I wasn't expecting him to be around I was having a lie-in this morning, was awake for a couple of hours then fell asleep again, so not much time for Matt searches!   And to top it off, I missed all the good weather too! Probably not the best day I've ever had!

    9th January

Although Matt said he was going to be on JL last night I couldn't find him, and not on tv as far as I know!

Well, all thanks to Mr George who is now officially my hero, he found Matt on JL Wednesday morning, 10 minutes after I stopped listening!!! lol.

I'm not sure if my recording skipped a bit because the player kept stopping!! Loved the comment about the high-sided vehicle! I worked for a retail company many years ago and the smallest chap drove our biggest lorry, it was a whooper!! He used to take it down to Cornwall too, every week. Mind you, although he was married, rumour had it he had an extra incentive for going there!!

    Here's what I have:

    8th January

Matt was on the overnight shift last night but not on TV as far as I know. BUT he was at long last back on Janice Long's how on Radio 2 at stupid o' clock in the morning! It seems that santa brough Matt a wii for christmas.
But the biggest news is that he won't be doing so many weekends on Breakfast soon, as other forecasters will be doing their share!!
This is possibly good news for Matt unless he gets lots of nightshifts instead!! But it's not good news for me! The TBT generally doesnt get updated til I've left for work and thats too late for DVD setting!! Hmmm, problems! Hopefully there will be a pattern established!!

And good news, Matt is back tonight on JL again.

    6th January

Another uneventful Breakfast this morning. Matt was wearing pale green shirt to which he later added a striped tie for the News 24 and BBCi forecasts. It was beautiful and sunny this morning as promised and I missed most of it! Doh! I did venture out for a while this afternoon and it was very dull but dry and not too cold.
I have it on very good authority that Exeter had a heavy shower this afternoon!!!

    2008-01-06 1

Well, that's about all for today I think. The next question is will he being doing his usual overnight shift tomorrow night??

    5th January

It seems that Matt has had another long broadcasting day today. After the Breakfast shift Peter Gibbs took over on News 24 but Matt was back on News 24 in the afternoon, last forecast I saw was 3.30 and he was still on then!! He also did BBCi and VK's show (or chappers) at 10.20ish. Being asked again if the red jumper was a christmas jumper!! Shocking! He really has worn it quite a few times before.
Nothing to report by way of banter on Breakfast today. Lots of showers 'rattling in' and 'rattling through'. It was certainly a very sunshine and showers kinda day. I did venture to the outdoors briefly at one point and it wasn't too bad.
We had isobars on one forecast and a close view of Helvellyn with its snow and risk of avalanche!

    2008-01-05 1

We have the Weather Show on this weekend, presented by Carol Kirkwood. Carol was in the Ice Bar in London and guess what the managers name was!! Yep....Matt! lol

For the afternoon shift a change of shirt and various shades of brown tie:

Look at all that snow round and about!!

    4th January

As the world starts to return to normal Matt was on Breakfast this morning, but I was unfortunate enough to have my first day back at work so I couldn't laze around and watch Breakfast
Matt was out in the BP garden with shirt, jumper and zippy jacket today, so not so cold as of late for us in the south anyway. Still snow around for some...lucky!

Good advice on Breakfast today (ok so they were talking about the mega virus thingy thats going around) but a visitor to the studio says 'Never put anything in your mouth unti you've washed your hands'!!! lmfao. I'm not really a morning person on work days but that made me laugh out loud! Fantastic!!
Back to weather. For many of us through this coming night its going to be a wild, wet and windy one! Cool!! I'll listen out  for that!!
After a chat to a couple of people about a show called The one and only, Susanna and Bill decided there is only one Matt Taylor! So true! Matt laughing before a quick weather recap before the end of Breakfast.

    2008-01-04

Matt must have been looking very good this morning because I was spoilt for choice with good screenshots today! Lots of eyebrow action too. How does he do that??

    2008-01-04 1

Well this has been a late blog today, almost time for the next one now! I best get to bed and get some kip!
(Don't ya just hate it when real life gets in the way of blogging! Terrible state of affairs!)

    2nd January

An unexpected appearance today on the red button! And he's got snow over Southamtpon! Bless him! I'm heading to the outdoors now, wrapped up all warm!
And a good job I was too! It's bitterly cold out there, major wind chill factor admittedly.
Matt was on one News 24 forecast at 3.55pm and over to Dan thereafter.
