    28th September

I didn't see Matt today personally as I'm not working in an office at the moment and it wasn't a good day so a trip to the pub was required straight after work, but Mr George kindly informed me that he was on News 24 and BBCi UK and world forecasts.

Matt was on overnight shift Monday/Tuesday night which involved a shipping forecast at 5.20 am!! I was reliably informed by Mr George. Sensible I listened to it much later in the day on the BBC website!! Many years since I've heard a shipping forecast I must say. He was also on Janice Long's show on Radio 2 at around 1.45 which can be heard here:

    23rd September

Bill is back today, yay, and still paying Matt the compliments it seems. I've just seen the 8.15 forecast and Bill said ' our own superhero now, here's Matt, with the weather'.

Right back to the 6.15 forecast and after a mention of the new Jesus and Moses dolls verses the superheroes Bill says: 'You know who I'd choose over Superman tho?' Susanna: 'Who is your superhero?' Bill: ' Matt Taylor'. Matt laughs and says: 'Thank you very much Bill, it would have to be a very small action figure I think'. Awww bless

Before the 7.18 forecast a mention of the new size 14 models, followed by Susanna saying: 'And here's a man with not an ounce of fat on him' , Matt laughs and says 'It's all well hidden Susanna'.

Love the way he says 'moors' hehe. Am liking the leaves falling in the globe too, fits in very nicely with a picture I put on my facebook account of Matt yesterday with leaves falling on him! lol.

Matt also did the next two forecasts after breakfast on News 24, with what appeared to be on my TV a quite bright purple tie. Stiff south westerly winds? No comment!

He's now appearing on the red button BBCi UK and world. Buenos Aires gets mentioned as usual but no Manitoba today.

    22nd September

I switched the TV on at the wrong time this morning because it was just before the 8.15 forecast and when that came on it was Carol Kirkwood and I was like  whats going on???? And no Bill!!!  what happened to my Breakfast dream team?? But then Matt was back for the 8.45 forecast! Phew!!!
At the start of the 9.15 forecast was a webcam picture of Southampton  but I don't know where it was because it doesn't look any where near that grim out of my window!

    2007-09-22

This is the view across central Southampton and Southampton water! My bedroom window faces the opposite direction, a good thing I feel!!

Not much banter today with our Bill not being on . But according to the TBT page Matt will be on the red button later with the UK and World weather forecasts.

Oh yes, Buenos Aires (I've nearly learnt how to spell that now!! Always get the letters all wrong) gets a mention and Manitoba :-)
I'm liking the yellow stripey tie, it matches the autumn picture behind him.

FYI, this is Southampton when its sunny from that webcam!! I think someone should clean the glass!!

Still looks murky but it's really not.

    21st September

Yay, it's a Matt weekend! Poor Matt, sent out in the dark BP garden this morning for the 6.15 forecast, and just a light jacket today which was gone by 6.45! It must have been mild! New shirt too I think, haven't seen a light shirt with dark buttons before. It was my dream team on Breakfast today, and Bill was being very nice to Matt today. The intro to the 6.15 forecast was: 'Its always a pleasure to see Matt, and a relief to be honest, to see him this morning, hello Matt'. (Has ever a truer word been spoken???)And Matt: 'Its always a pleasure to be here, Bill, Susanna, very good morning to you.'

    2007-09-21

Prior to the start of the 6.45 was talk of the search for the worldest greatest Elvis, the king. then Bill says 'And here's a prince, Prince Matt with the weather. Matt laughed 'Thank you very much Bill, a very good morning to you'

And at 7.15 yet another compliment from Bill: 'And we're big fans of Matt, this morning'.

Susanna introduce the 7.45 forecast so no compliments this time, but Matt added his contribution to the search for the British motto, he suggests 'Bring a brolly'

Talking again of the search for the british motto one witty viewer suggested 'May contain nuts' !! Nice one! And Bill: 'And now for the weather, here's Matt, he's not nuts' and Matts: 'Thank you very much, I still stand by Bring your brolly'. Talking about that nasty weather up north Matt says: You can see where that band of rain is, it just straddles the centre half of the country' at this point I became distracted!

After another talk about Elvis Matt advises: 'If you've got your blue seude shoes out and you live in north Wales or north west England stick them back in the cupboard, you're not going to need them today a truly miserable day to come'.

And at 9.15 Bill: 'Out in the wilderness for us this morning, well, the Blue Peter garden, here's Matt'

All in all a pretty good start to the weekend I think (because of course we don't count Friday as a 'working' day even if it officially is!)

    18th September

Same shift again today. Matt has been on the red button doing the UK forecast and BBCi UK and World. I do like that purpley tie! More on the typhoon on the world forecast with winds reaching 260 km/ph! Back here in the UK it's not going to be quite so chilly tonight, there was a little banter between Matt and John. John saying he had to break his October heating rule last night and switch it on.

It was indeed, as Matt predicted yesterday a very bright crisp, chilly morning this morning. But this afternoon in the sun and out of the wind it was very nice indeed despite an air temperature of only around 14/15 C.

Well, this wasn't the entire clip I wanted to blog, but after the last couple of days I'll take what I can get!

    17th September

He's back!!  Yay, its been a while, seems like a really loooooooooooooooong while! It's great to have him back, looking good.

He's there on your red button at the moment and doing the UK and World weather on BBCi.  A Typhoon in Asia heading for Northern Taiwan, wind of up to 220 Km/ph, very damaging winds and torrential rain!! Buenos Aires got  a mention and Manitoba, yay! I was hoping for an appearance on News24, nothing yet, but there's still time. Oh yes!! There we go, making an appearance at 2.28 and 2.57, good to see him on the big screen, BBCi just isnt clear enough.

The nice pale blue stripey tie today.

I must apologise for the ads on here at the moment!! My subscription hasnt gone through because my card expired I'm hoping this is now sorted and the ads will disappear again in the next couple of days. Very annoying! Not only that but I can't upload any more images til it's sorted because I'm maxed out on memory!! Doh!!!

    6th September

Again I heard Matt on Radio 4 as I was driving to work this morning. (Have never listened to Radio 4 in my life before!! And I only listen to the forecast now, all very serious stuff  . I've not been very 'on the ball' at all this week with a new job to contend with but Mr George has done a sterling job of keeping me up to date with the goings on, including some video captures, none of which I've managed to get on here! Bad me!

He's also written another hurricane article on the bbc website here

I have to say I like the weekend shifts better. More opportunity for banter, pictures, trips out and then JL at the start of the following week. Much more fun.

Despite my rather distracted week I couldn't help but notice and  was quite interested when I spotted square cloud over the UK!!!!

    06-09-07

I assume that  Matt had only the cloud over the UK highlighted but I'm quite liking square cloud!! Slightly unusual! At least I haven't noticed it before but perhaps I was asleep!

    5th September

I put the radio panel in the car today and was madly trying to find Radio 4, then realised the aerial wasn't out so had to stop and pull that out and luckily found Radio 4 just as I heard the words 'Here's Matt'!! Timing! So that was a pretty good start to my journey this morning and indeed the day. I have it on good authority that he can also be found on the red button this morning but I unfortunately didn't have time for that before I left.

So what does all this working now mean in terms of the weekend on Breakfast!! Hmmm

Just missed the 7.55 forecast!! Doh!!

    4th September

Matt's on the same shift today as yesterday which isn't much good for me right now!  Must remember to put the radio in the car, that might be a start! Short and sweet, thats all for now folks, lunch break is over!

    3rd September

A surprise appearance this morning. Mr George informed me that he was to be heard on Radio 4 Farming today.  Having started a new job today and not having access to my normal resources I can't say much more than that. He has written an article appearing on the BBC website about Hurricane Felix which can be seen here.
